School, What Shape Is That?
To begin this paper, I would like to share what I am thinking about.
There are many questions in my mind. Last week, I went to Makassar. One
of my friends got married. But, to be honestly, the most interested
moment when I and other friends gathering in one internet shop belongs
to my friends. We discussed about education. However, we focused on the
moment when we still actively in the campus.
I asked one my friends who have internet shop, “after finishing our study, what did you got?” his respond make me shock, he said that I got nothing besides having new friends and absolutely I spend lots money. Then I asked the other one who has interested in business with a same question, he said so did I. then I want to I ask you, how do you see that my brother and sister in Islam?
The next question, I tried to explore more what advantaged of education is by asking both my friends. Then I asked him, “so what for we school if you got nothing?” He said for a piece of paper namely certificate. Is that true my brother and sister in Islam?
I got more interest to know deeply, what my friends would say for my next question which is “what is school?” “Why people should be there?” do you want to know what they said? They said that it is for spending our time and parents’ money. Hmmm … what do you think about it my brother and sister in Islam?
Then they asked me with a same question about the purpose of school. I only gave a short respond, I said “women will be getting more pretty when they wear school uniform?” then, they laugh.
It was a great night. I miss for the same moment discussed about the main idea of school. Then, we shared our different activity while a cup of coffee lost and forgot the mid night already came…. chhhhmmm.
This article is quite simple. However, we may discuss it with varieties opinion. There will be people say that school is really important to reach our goal in the future and there will be people also say that school is only a place to spend our age.
After finishing the school, we have right to get certificate. It is as a proof that people has already finished their obligation as student and also as the legally to continue for the next level or apply for the job. However, the certificate does not show the capability and skill at all. It is only show the score of pupil during they school.
That’s way, there are many things should be criticized from school managing. I will show you in the next paper.
